    Labor Day Weekend
    Starts: 09/04/2026 - Ends: 09/07/2026

    Celebrate the holiday weekend with a full lineup of activities at the campground. Friday evening begins with Candy Bar Bingo at 7 p.m., followed by Adult Scratch-Off Bingo at 8 p.m. Saturday features a craft and community yard sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., along with Bubble Mania at 10 a.m. Join us at noon to make applesauce, then hop on a wagon ride at 3 p.m. The cornhole competition begins at 6 p.m. with a $10 entry fee. Sunday starts with fishing tournament registration at 8:30 a.m., with the tournament running from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Later in the day, enjoy hot dogs at the pool at 1 p.m. and a chocolate tug-of-war at 3 p.m. Monday morning wraps up the weekend with coffee and Danish at 9 a.m.

    Tailgate Weekend
    Starts: 09/11/2026 - Ends: 09/13/2026

    Enjoy a day of friendly competition during Tailgate Weekend! Saturday begins with kids' pool games at 10 a.m., followed by a multi-size ball game at noon. Try your luck at the bean bag toss at 2 p.m., then join the fun during the toilet paper toss at 4 p.m. Gather at the cooking pavilion for the tailgate party at 5 p.m., and finish the day with the field goal washer game at 7 p.m.

    Chili Cook-Off Weekend
    Starts: 09/18/2026 - Ends: 09/20/2026

    Join us for a weekend of games leading up to our delicious chili competition! Friday begins with Yahtzee at 6 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy a life-size Monopoly game at 10 a.m., followed by Jenga at noon. Capture the Flag begins at 3 p.m., and the Chili Cook-Off contest starts at 5 p.m. Stick around for a movie with ice cream at 7 p.m.

    Friendsgiving
    Starts: 09/25/2026 - Ends: 09/27/2026

    Celebrate friendship and gratitude during our Friendsgiving weekend! Friday night begins with Family Bingo at 7 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy a Thanksgiving craft at 11 a.m., followed by our community Thanksgiving dinner at 5 p.m. The evening continues with music and fun during the Chestnut Lake DJ party at 6 p.m.

    Halloween Weekend #1
    Starts: 10/02/2026 - Ends: 10/04/2026

    Celebrate another spooky Halloween weekend! The fun begins Friday at 6 p.m. with a wagon ride to plant the pumpkin seeds. On Saturday, take a wagon ride to the Pumpkin Patch at noon, then enjoy pumpkin painting at 1:30 p.m. Show off your best costume during the costume contest at 3 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating around the campground at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with a Halloween party at 6 p.m.

    Halloween Weekend #2
    Starts: 10/09/2026 - Ends: 10/11/2026

    Halloween fun is on at Chestnut Lake! Friday evening begins with a wagon ride at 6 p.m. to plant the pumpkin seeds and kick off the weekend. On Saturday, hop on the wagon at 12 p.m. for a ride to the Pumpkin Patch, then join us for pumpkin painting at 1:30 p.m. Show off your best costume during the costume contest at 3 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating around the campground at 4 p.m. The evening wraps up with a Halloween party at 6 p.m. for a festive end to the day.

    Let's Clean Up Weekend
    Starts: 10/16/2026 - Ends: 10/18/2026

    Join your fellow campers Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for the Chestnut Lake Community Meeting as we gather to discuss the season and help keep our campground looking its best.

    Closing Weekend
    Starts: 10/23/2026 - Ends: 10/25/2026

    As the camping season comes to a close, please help us wrap up the campground and support our community. Bring any non-expired, non-perishable food items to the Welcome Center for donation to the Community Church - last year we collected 18 bags of food. Closing time is 12 p.m. on October 25, 2026, with no exceptions. Campfires are not permitted on October 25, and all campers must disconnect water, electric, and septic before departure. Thank you for a wonderful season at Chestnut Lake - we look forward to seeing you again in the spring!
